Clinical speciality Based on first medical job and categorised into the five most commonly cited specialities: Medicine, Anaesthesia, Surgery, Paediatrics, Psychiatry, with the remainder categorised as ‘Other’
Irish citizenship status This variable is coded as 'Yes', 'No' or 'Already hold citizenship'
Applications for recognised training scheme The responses are coded as ‘Yes’ or ‘No’
Note: ‘Yes’ is aggregated based on: Yes-unsuccessful, Yes-currently on scheme and Yes-completed
Length of stay Length of time in Irelanda
